Howard B. Soypher is a principal and a member of the firm’s Family Law and Litigation practice groups who focuses primarily on family law, but also represents clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, including, commercial and business disputes and estate litigation.” His family law practice is focused on complex financial issues such as the valuation of business interests and other assets, and also includes dispute negotiations along with prenuptial, separation and other agreements. He represents individual and corporate clients in binding arbitration and before Maryland’s appellate courts.
In recognition of his outstanding work, Mr. Soypher in May 2011 was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), a national organization whose members are recognized for maintaining the highest degree of professionalism, integrity and excellence in the practice of family law. He becomes one of only 30 attorneys in the state of Maryland to be named to the prestigious group. In 2005, he was selected by Washingtonian as one of the Washington metro area’s “go to” attorneys for prenuptial agreements. He contributed a column (“Prenuptial Agreements: The Busy Season Is Upon Us”) to The Daily Record and was one of the presenters of a seminar entitled “Discovery Skills for Legal Staff in Maryland.”
Mr. Soypher received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law after earning his B.A. from the University of Maryland. He is a member of the Maryland Bar.
