Paula A. Calimafde
has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Trusts And
Estate Counsel. She is also a fellow of the American College of Tax
Counsel and a Charter Fellow of the American College of Employee
Benefits Counsel, making her one of the few attorneys in the mid-Atlantic region who is a fellow in all three national
organizations. 
Paul G. Marcotte, Jr,
co-chair of the firm’s
Tax
practice group, was named to the Maryland Section of Taxation
Council, a position in which he will interact with legislative
bodies on pending tax legislation and proposed tax reform
during his three-year term. 
Patricia M. Weaver,
who chairs the
Appellate Practice
group, was elected to the Alternative Dispute Resolution Council
of the Maryland State Bar Association. She will focus on developing and implementing strategies and protocols to
increase the use of processes other than litigation to resolve
business and other disputes.

James R.
Hammerschmidt
has been selected to serve as Treasurer on the Board of
Governors of the Maryland Chapter of the Federal Bar
Association. A member of the firm’s
Litigation,
Appellate,
Employment Law and
Family Law practice
groups, he joins a group that is dedicated to promoting the
welfare, interests, education and professional development of
all attorneys involved in federal law.
