Trish Weaver was a featured panelist on September 26th for an ABA webinar on how to preserve a record at the trial court level that an appeals court may review.
Effective appellate advocacy begins in the trial court. Properly presenting one's client's case and ensuring that issues are raised and errors are noted at the trial court level are critical to preserving a record that an appeals court may review. Many appeals are lost by failing to safeguard the record during trial. This webinar will provide tips on issue preservation and error preservation from pre-trial pleadings and proceedings through the trial court's final judgment.
Trish Weaver and John Weaver hosted this webinar through the American Bar Association. Trish is Chair of Paley Rothman's Appellate Practice, and a member of our Litigation, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Corporate practice groups.
A recording of the webinar, "How to Preserve Your Record for Appellate Review," can be purchased in the ABA Store.
