Leaving Your Legacy: Taking Care of Family and the Community You Care About

Jeffrey Kolender, Estate Planning Chair

Jeffrey Kolender was scheduled to be a featured presenter at the Montgomery College Staff Enrichment Day 2017 workshop entitled, “Leaving Your Legacy: Taking Care of Family and the Community You Care About” on Tuesday, March 14th (cancelled due to snow).

Among the topics he was supposed to discuss were: estate planning basics, including differences between bequests, trusts, and life insurance, understanding estate planning in the new Administration, and how to avoid estate planning pitfalls. Staff Enrichment Day is hosted annually during Professional Week and is designed to foster community building among the staff through various professional and personal growth activities. This year’s theme “Remembering the Past, Reflecting on the Future” celebrated Montgomery College’s 70th anniversary. Unfortunately, the program was cancelled due to snow.
