David Shapiro was elected Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s (MSBA) Business Law Section at the Business Law Section’s June 17th meeting in Ocean City, Maryland. The MSBA Business Law Section brings together MSBA members who practice and/or share an interest in the fields of general business, corporate, banking, technology and international law; furthers the study, development, and improvement of knowledge in these areas; and sponsors programs throughout the year covering topics of general interest to private practice and in-house lawyers, corporations and financial institutions. Each spring, the Business Law Section plans and hosts the Advanced Business Law Institute, featuring a keynote speaker and eight high level business-related breakout sections.
David, Chair of Paley Rothman's Health Law practice group, and a member of the firm's Corporate, Science & Technology, Employment Law and Government Contracts practice groups will serve a one year term as Section Chair.
