David Shapiro Elected Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation
David Shapiro recently was inducted as a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation. Membership as a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation (MBF) is limited to not more than 2.5% of the Maryland State Bar Association’s membership of approximately 25,000 lawyers and judges.
Membership in the MBF is by invitation only, upon nomination by a current Fellow of the MBF and endorsement by the MBF’s Board of Directors. According to the MBF, induction into the MBF is recognition of the new Fellow’s outstanding dedication and contribution to the MBF’s goals of “maintaining the honor and integrity of the legal profession, the improvement and facilitation of the administration of justice, the work of the organized Bar of Maryland and civic leadership.” The MBF serves to make grants to organizations that work within Maryland to foster, maintain, improve and facilitate the MBF’s goals.
David Shapiro is Chair of Paley Rothman's Health Law practice group, and a member of the firm's Corporate, Science & Technology, Employment Law and Government Contracts practice groups.
