Pallavi Kachoria Organized Cyber Bullying Seminar for High School Students
Pallavi Kachoria, along with three other attorneys from the Maryland State Bar Association, spoke at Walt Whitman High School on May 3.
The presentation focused on educating sophomores, juniors, and seniors on the potential legal consequences of cyberbullying. Among the topics discussed pertaining to cyberbullying were teen suicides, how text messages can be used maliciously, and realistic scenarios followed by the legal ramifications for each scenario.
“[Cyberbullying laws] are being paid more attention to in the legislature nowadays,” event organizer Pallavi Kachoria said. “They’re becoming more serious but so are the tools and the applications.”
Pallavi is a former member of the firm's Family Law and Litigation practice groups.
