The firm’s Employment Law group conducted a Webinar in September entitled “Check 1 Check 2 – What an Employer Needs to Know About Employee Background Checks.”
Criminal background and credit checks can be useful tools for employers looking to hire a new employee, but it is imperative both are performed and used correctly. The EEOC and multiple state legislatures have recently been pushing to limit the use of both of these procedures, making it critical for all employers to be up to speed on the recent developments regarding background checks, and what they need to know in order to comply with any new requirements.
