Tough Talks: LGBTQ Experiences in and Advice to the Legal Community

Eva Juncker, Principal

Eva Juncker was a panelist for a virtual town hall on LGBTQ experiences in and advice to the Virginia legal community, hosted by the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association Diversity & Inclusion Alliance on October 21, 2020.

The presentation included attorneys and members of judiciary, discussing the experiences of LGBTQ persons in the legal community. We will also hear their thoughts, and hopefully ideas and questions from attendees, concerning the need for greater mindfulness and inclusion of the rich diversity among the members of our Bench and Bar.  How do we, as members of the VTLA and the Bar at large create a more inclusive environment, and signal those efforts to the public? How do we overcome conscious and unconscious biases?
