Deborah Cohn Makes Speeches to Three Organizations
Deborah Cohn, a member of the firm’s Estate Planning, Estate & Trust Administration and Tax practice groups, made speeches to three prominent organizations in the month of May.
At both the May 8 Advanced Estate Planning Institute put on by the Maryland State Bar Association in Columbia, and the May 16 Maryland Association of Judges of the Orphans’ Court annual meeting in Annapolis, she summarized and discussed the significance of Maryland estate planning and estate administration legislation enacted during the Maryland General Assembly’s 2012 session.
Debbie was joined on May 10 by fellow Paley Rothman principal, Robert Maclay, on a panel at The World Bank’s pre-retirement seminar presented several times a year by the organization’s Pension Department. Debbie's session was devoted to basic property law and tax issues as well as estate planning for non-U.S. citizens. Bob, who in addition to his Estate Planning and Estate & Trust Administration work is also a member of the firm’s Health Law, Commercial Transactions and Tax groups, devoted his remarks to employees who are unmarried U.S. citizens and/or U.S. citizens married to U.S. citizens.
