Jim Hammerschmidt presented his annual legislative update to the Montgomery County Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) on May 20, 2020.
Each year, MCSHRM offers this highly valuable presentation to their members. This year has presented unusual challenges for us all, so they reduceed the price to make this important information available to all via webinar.
The presentation took a tour of the key state (Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia) and federal cases that most impact the day-to-day lives of Human Resource Professionals. It also included an update on important federal, state and local legislation impacting our work and businesses. The session helped human resources professionals stay abreast of the latest legal developments and the practical impact that such developments have on the workplace.
Jim Hammerschmidt is Chair of the Employment Law group, and a member of its Litigation and Appellate Practice groups.
