Jim Hammerschmidt and Jessica Summers hosted a webinar discussing the new overtime rules on October 8, 2019 at 12:00 pm.
On September 24, 2019, the Department of Labor (DOL) issued its highly anticipated final rule modifying some of the most commonly used exemptions to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime requirements. These rules replace, and differ in some significant respects from, the final overtime rules that the Obama Administration put out in 2016, but that never went into effect because of a court injunction.
This webinar provided an overview of the FLSA and the impact of the DOL’s new rules and explore what steps employers should take before the rules go into effect on January 1, 2020.
