Deborah Cohn spoke at The World Bank in June as part of a pre-retirement seminar held by the Pension Department to inform its staff members about basic estate planning issues.
Debbie, a member of the firm’s Estate Planning, Estate & Trust Administration and Employee Benefits practice groups, led a general information session that focused on passing assets to survivors, minimizing probate and taking advantage of federal and state estate tax exemptions through gifting, bypass trusts and certain irrevocable trusts. She then conducted a break-out session on international tax planning for non-U.S. citizens and tax planning for U.S. citizens.
