Maryland Super Lawyers Recognizes Paley Rothman Attorneys for 6th Straight Year

BETHESDA, MD — Super Lawyers, a highly respected rating service of the country’s outstanding attorneys, has selected Paula Calimafde, Glenn Cooper, Hope Eastman, Jeffrey Kolender, Roy Niedermayer, Linda Schwartz and Howard Soypher for inclusion in its 2012 Maryland Super Lawyers. Bibi Berry was named among Maryland Rising Stars, those up-and-coming attorneys in the state who are 40 and under and who have practiced law for less than 10 years. Six of the eight Paley Rothman attorneys honored for 2012 have been selected every year since the Maryland Super Lawyers was introduced in 2007.

Super Lawyers’ selections are made in more than 70 practice areas and are based on peer nominations, peer evaluations and independent research.  There are more than 32,000 lawyers in the state of Maryland; only 5% of those receive Super Lawyers’ recognition each year.  An even smaller percentage (2.5%) of the state’s eligible attorneys are recognized annually in the Rising Stars category.  Two Paley Rothman lawyers have been chosen Maryland Rising Stars for each of the past several years.

Paley Rothman’s long history of being recognized for its lawyers’ professional achievements—by Maryland Super Lawyers and several other prominent publications—coincides with the firm’s celebration of a significant milestone in 2012—its 40th anniversary of being a prominent law firm in the state of Maryland, serving the legal needs of the community.

Paley Rothman, founded in 1972, provides legal counsel to corporate and individual clients in a wide range of practice areas. It maintains a business-orientation and handles tax, real estate, employment law, estate planning, litigation, employee benefits and a variety of other matters for businesses and professionals throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area and around the country.
